This is an attractive 15^th century freehouse that has a huge inglenook fireplace, large flagstones and beams. It reopened in December 2021 under new management, having been closed since the first Covid lockdown. To the right of the bar, down a few steps, is a small area where it is hoped there will be a dartboard in 2022. Homemade food is served 12-3 and 6-9 Tuesday to Friday, 12-9 Saturday and 12-5 Sunday and the menus can be found on Facebook, @pearsonsrestaurant. Breakfast is served from 9-11 at weekends. There is a quiz every Thursday, plus a monthly Tuesday quiz, and a meat raffle on Sundays. Children are welcome if sat at a table away from the bar, it is dog friendly and there is free Wifi. The pub may close earlier in the week depending on trade. The two guest beers change and may be from breweries such as Long Man or Firebird.
