Formerly a Victorian schoolhouse which was renovated in 1963, this became a pub in July 1965. It was owned by King & Barnes of Horsham at this time, but became a free house in the 1990s. It is now a very well known fish restaurant, but a cosy bar is still maintained where there are beams and an inglenook fireplace. Very high quality food is served in the separate restaurant. Most, but not all, is fish based, and is prepared using excellent quality fresh produce, and booking is recommended. A separate bar menu is also served featuring a number of "fish and chips" meals (again home made, and also very good). Between the bar and the restaurant is a small cocktail bar for diners. 16 wines are available by the glass with many more by the bottle. The beer range may occassionally change to feature seasonal beers. Unfortunately the pub closed in October 2015 and is probably going to be converted to houses.
