The origins of the pub are 17^th century and there are some old beams and an open fireplace from this time. Today's pub has a spacious L-shaped bar with wooden floorboards. Possibly the biggest asset is the beer garden in summer, which is probably the best in Reigate. Overlooking the cricket ground it is the perfect way to while away the afternoon with a beer or two. The menu is mainly burgers, small dishes and sandwiches, supplemented by specials which change weekly, and is served 12-9. The guest beer is likely to be from Pilgrim brewery just a few yards down the road. Sky and BT are available and occasionally there is live music. Thursday night is quiz night. Depending on custom is may sometimes shut early.
