In a wonderful setting in the North Downs, Denbies Vineyard is the largest in Britain. There are indoor wine tours (a gentle fairground-style ride followed by a short tasting session) and outdoor tours of the vineyards in an enclosed road train. You can enjoy the wines with a meal in the Conservatory Restaurant and buy them to take away from the gift shop, which also sells a range of locally brewed bottled beers. Denbies produce well over a dozen wines encompassing a number of styles and utilising several grape varieties, and a visit is recommended to get to understand the wine making process. The Surrey Hills Brewery was established at the rear of the winery in 2011: see separate entry.
